There's a point where the playbook stops working. You eat clean. You train hard. You sleep. And the body still won't move - the energy drags, the bloat shows up by 2pm, the fat won't release. Then the bloodwork comes back 'normal' and you get sent home.

What's actually living in your gut — pathogens, parasites, bacterial overgrowths, H. pylori, keystone bacteria, and how well you're digesting and absorbing food. If your gut is inflamed, your fat-loss plan is fighting a war you can't see.
Mine flagged low-grade H. pylori, Klebsiella 20x the limit, Morganella 30x — with no acute symptoms.
Cortisol patterns, sex hormones, thyroid, insulin. Total testosterone tells you how much you have; free T and SHBG tell you how much you can actually use. Hormones run the show — and they're usually why a 'perfect' diet stops producing a result.

Because for most people, hormones, immunity, mood, and body composition run through the gut first. Your gut bacteria help control how much estrogen recirculates; your stomach acid controls how well you absorb the minerals that protect testosterone. Treating the downstream symptom without checking upstream is how people stay stuck for years. We test in order - gut, then hormones - so we're solving the cause, not chasing the symptom.
If you've worked with a functional practitioner before, we'll talk through what was tested and what the outcomes were, so we can see whether this offers something different. Not as a starting point. I'm not on them myself - I had the labs that send a lot of guys straight to a clinic, and I chose to do the root-cause work first. The rule is "naturally first": we exhaust what your body can do on its own before considering anything that creates a lifelong dependency. If an intervention is ever genuinely warranted, that's a conversation to have with a physician, with real data behind it - earned, not defaulted to.
This isn't the cheapest option - it's the most comprehensive. Most people spend years and thousands on gyms, coaches, and protocols that don't work because they never found the root. Testing shortens the trial-and-error dramatically. We'll build a structure that makes sense for your goals and walk through it on your Blueprint Session.
